July 18th Mick O'Brien show live interview

I was joined by several other musicians from Dublin to officially launch my latest album 'Forsaken land' on the one and only Mick O'Brien show, Dublin City's Anna Livia FM. It was an unforgetable night and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Mick and the people of Dublin for their support - THANK YOU !
Mick O'Brien has been fighting the good fight long before I ever met him, he's one of the fastest moving radio presenters I've known and his dedication to the good fight for a better future is second to none. He broadcasts live every Tuesday night 9-11pm. His shows are also broadcast live on the internet, you can listen in at http://www.dublincityannaliviafm.com/
I highly recommend listening in on Mick's shows.

May 2006
Sweden Short Tour

I performed several songs from the Anti Fascist war at the La Mano International Brigade Monument and then peroformed a concert at the ABF on May day in Stockholm. The event was attended by 400 comrades who then went on to join the main Mayday demo in Stockholm City Centre. Just before the concert at the ABF (workers club) I noticed a large crowd outside as I looked out from the building, they were reclaiming the streets. Thousands of young radical comrades were marching in protest against global imperialism, it was quite breath taking. Later I'd heard that the Swedish police went in with a heavy hand and as a result a riot broke out. Many people were arrested and many were injured by the police brutality. I want my comrades in Sweden to know that they did the freedom loving people of this world proud that day. The struggle is long and difficult, but our day will come, I salute you!

November 2005
New Album release 2006!!!
I have been working on another album that I hope to release early next year. The main topics covered in this album are the Easter rising of 1916 and the International brigades of 1936-1939, there are also some of my own songs about Palestine. I will have more information during the coming months, so keep an eye out for the updates. What I can say about the quality is that I think this album will be my finest work to date.

September 2005
Sept 16, acoustic set at the KPML bookstore. This was one the best acoustic sets I've had. The audience were intimate and the order exceptional.

Sept 17, Concert in Sweden, Uppsala. I did a solidarity concert for the Ireland information group. It was a boisterous event attended by a wide range of radicals.

August 2005
COMBO Fundraiser for I.B.C.C. (International Brigades Commemmoration Committee) at Felons Club West Belfast. I'd like to thank all the Musicians for kindly donating their time and services for this great cause. I'd also like to thank the organisers and all those among you for attending yet another successful COMBO event. I was joined by Patrick Martin for this event, who had just returned from a successful tour with the Riverdance Europe troupe. We were joined by other musicians from Belfast. There were also speakers from the Basque Country and Sweden. A great night for Internationalism and a fitting tribute to those who fought fascism during the 1930's.

March 2005
We had a great night at Conway Mill, Belfast. I was joined by Caoimhin from Brag and T.P.O. for a Basque awareness night. It was attended by a hearty audience and raised much needed funds for the Belfast Basque Committee. For more information regarding the Basque struggle for Independence and Socialism scroll down to 'Euskal Herria' in the Historical/Political section of my site which can be found by clicking HERE

January to March 2005
Due to ill health (I've since made a full recovery) I had to cancel many concerts across Europe, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support. I also had to put an album on hold, but I did manage to get some work done on the 'Sin E' album though and it will now be released early 2006. Other artists featured on the album include : Christy Moore, Luka Bloom, John Spillane, Ger Woolfe. To name a few, I'll keep you posted when I get an official release date.
I also managed to help set up a committee in Belfast that has been working to raise awareness and funds that will go towards commemmorating Anti Fascist volunteers who fought against the armies of Franco, Mussilini and Hitler during the period of 1936-39, generally referred to as the Spanish Civil war, or Revolution. To date We've been very successful and I'd like to thank everyone that took part (and are continuing to take part) in the protject.
