  Gigging

  July 29 2004. Sweden.
Taken during a glorious sunny evening at the Mullsjo Irish Music festival. I was the only act with any political content, I was a little nervous because of this, but the reaction from the audience was tremendous. Many said to me afterwards that it was great to listen to something 'Real' for a change. I think I even sold the most Cds!

  July 31 2004. Sweden.
As the last evening grew darker, the audience grew much bigger. I had lolo Robinson steal this photo of me looking into the crowd. There lies the potential for a little Glastonbury in Sweden. Thanks Lolo.

  March 28 2004. Catalunya.
Taken at Catalunya square right in the heart of Barcelona City. It was a beautiful sunny day, hundreds gathered to enjoy the traditional Catalan food. The audience then listened to Patrick Martin and myself before setting off to join main demonstration against the harsh conditions endured by many (Almost 700) political prisoners in Spanish jails.

The fight for independence from Spain seems to be growing in popularity in Catalunya. I spoke to students, the middle aged and the elderly. People are determined to gain self determination which in turn will lead to the creation of a Socialist Republic.

There is a strong bond between the people of Catalunya and Ireland. Many people asked me about the situation in Ireland and how I felt about what the future might bring etc. The audience in Barcelona were fantastic, warm attentive and responsive. I thank them for making Patrick and I feel so welcome.

  May 9 2004
Meanwhile back in Belfast, things are much the same. Around 1,000 people protest outside the City Hall against state collusion. The British state have yet to open the hornets nest of clandestine black ops aimed primarily at murdering members of the Nationalist and Republican/Socialist communities. Many innocent people have lost their lives as a result of such operations. The exact number of people murdered by the British state in Ireland has yet to be revealed. The truth has to come out if we are to move forward.
